A DIVE INTO THE PDP "YE DWENE WOHO POLICY"
Most government at a point focuses on providing job opportunities for the citizens, but the gap in this attempt is that the graduates do not have the necessary skills to fit in the demanding job market, due to a lack of adequate practical skills received in the various universities. That is why the PDP government when voted into power, seeks to “provide ultra-modern practical facilities in tertiary institutions
Through its implementation, graduates will acquire the necessary skills and contribute to the countries development, whiles reducing the unemployment rate alongside.
Also, the PDP government will “stress the inclusion of people with disability into the mainstream educational institutions”.
The party believes that if they are inculcated, it will serve as a motivation to these people. In return, the country can divert its resources in one direction, hence the introduction of this policy. With the assistance of the Ghana Education Service (GES), academic curricular will be reframed so that they can enrol fairly. Equipment’s and facilities will be made available to ease all difficulty they might encounter.
The last policy under the Ye Dwene Woho policy is to “Enroll certified vocational students into the Government sector”. Vocational students are a group of people with maximum skills. Most of these students upon completion of their course had to struggle to build their businesses since there is no structured system for their employment needs.
Under the PDP Government, a special scheme and plan will be put in place, to give three months internship program to vocational students, and then they are introduced into the field they majored in.
With the above three policies in place, there will be a great improvement in the educational sector, while solving the unemployment rate.
